I was shocked when I read a recent letter in the News & Record by an optometrist who claimed that she has to “refer (patients) out for simple office procedures, requiring them to drive into Greensboro or Winston-Salem.”
A simple Google search shows that there is a full-time ophthalmology office less than 1.5 miles from her office. And Healthgrades.com shows eight ophthalmologists accepting new patients within 10 miles of Kernersville.
