Video: Sometimes, Good Intentions Just Turn Out Bad
Sometimes, good intentions just turn out bad. Just look at the issue of healthcare. More problems than solutions. Here in Raleigh, we have the Enhanced Access to Eye Care Act. It sounds like a good idea but it could let non-physicians perform eye surgery with as little as a long weekend’s worth of training, no medical school, no surgical residency. Now that’s a really bad idea.
HB36 is a dangerous bill before the North Carolina General Assembly. If passed, HB36 will enable Optometrists, who did not attend medical school, the ability to perform eye surgery within our state.
